Patios / Pathways.

On this job I was asked to lay a meandering pathway from an existing patio. To remove a pond and create an area for plant pots.

The pathway would form a trail to various features in the garden, such as a sundial, more patio areas and some established trees and shrubs.

I'm laying the slabs out roughly here to get a feel for the layout.
Here I'm checking again from a different angle that I'm taking a fairly direct route around the garden, but meeting the customers request of NOT a "new build" look....she was in-fact keen for a playful shape to the path so her Grandchildren had something to run around on.
Here we can see the grass has been cut away, and a M.O.T base has been laid and compacted.
This is the pond that was removed, and a new potted plant area created.
Here we can see the new path, with edging bricks.
We can also see the pond has gone.
The new sundial and bird table.
Here we can see the pathway leading to the rear of the garden where there is another patio, and storage sheds.
Also visible are some stepping stones to the borders on the left of the garden.
In this garden, the elderly customers had requested the lawn be removed and new slabs laid.
At this property I was asked to completely clear the front garden, lay a simple pathway from the street to the front door, and path from the driveway to door, and then turf the front garden.

I also partially rebuilt the left pier here, and we can see a small border was created as well.

No job's too small.

For this customer I extended an existing patio.
At this job I was asked to edge the lawn with brick's....no problem!
Looked very smart after, as well as making the regular maintenance easier.
At this job I was tasked with making the back garden easier to maintain....while keeping the existing pathway, but not slabbing the whole area!...it needed to look interesting, be functional and durable.
So let's remove the turf....

Lay a weed barrier membrane, and reinforce the existing path edges with concrete, and set in some decorative edging for the borders....

And refill using 2 different colour stones.

Stunning result!
